DERECK RAMSY TO ENTERTAIN NETWORK TRANSFER AFTER FEBRUARY 2012!

Derek Ramsay was allegedly offered a multi-million peso contract with another TV station, something which the actor denied. “Wala pa, wala pang specific number or anything that was offered to me. I have been approached, yes, but like I said, I won’t entertain anything unless my contract is expired. So even with ABS-CBN, ‘di pa ako nakipag-upo para makipag-negotiate for a new contract. But with the other network, wala pang specific na bigay sa akin.”

He did not deny that he is not closing his doors on possible negotiations but added that he is happy with his current career and his contract won’t expire until next year. “We’ll see what happens. February pa naman ‘yon (expiration of contract). Right now, I still have the projects that I have with ABS-CBN. I have to fulfill and do all my responsibilities to my mother network right now so I can’t entertain anything.”

The actor said he plans on taking a break after the finale of The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition, where he is a host. “Pahinga, siguro. I got to spend time with my family na-miss ko talaga sila,” he said.

Speaking of family, Derek’s girlfriend Angelica Panganiban surprised him recently when she, together with Derek’s loved ones, arranged a block screening of No Other Woman. “Na-surprise ako, all my friends and family and Angelica made sure na dumating ako,” he said. He said that Angelica had asked him to watch a foreign movie together which Derek declined at first. He said that Angelica got emotional and told him that they don’t spend time together anymore. To pacify her, Derek said yes to her. Later on, he found that it was just a ploy and his loved ones, including his dad, just wanted to surprise him. He revealed, “My dad has never watched a movie in his life and I knew something was up and my whole family and friends were there. We had a fun night, private screening and an after-party. He’s very proud of me.”
