The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) on Tuesday has set a hearing to discuss the possible punishment for the brothers Tulfo, namely Erwin, Raffy and Ben, for threatening the life of showbiz couple Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barreto on their program on TV5.
“Acting on numerous complaints from the general public and based on the board's own monitoring, the Office of the MTRCB legal counsel has found probable cause to charge the television program 'T3 KAPATID SAGOT KITA,' aired over TV5,” MTRCB chairperson Mary Grace Poe Llamanzares said in a statement Tuesday.

“Immediately taking cognizance of the complaint, the board has scheduled the case for hearing on 10 May 2012, at 10:30 A.M,” Llamanzares noted.
She said the show violated Section 3(c) of Presidential Decree No.1986 “for airing scenes and utterances that are indecent and contrary to law, or with a dangerous tendency to encourage the commission of violence, or of a wrong or crime.”
MTRCB has the authority to suspend a television program that does not comply with its standards.In the Monday episode of their show, the Tulfo brothers threatened to avenge the beating their elder brother Ramon suffered in a brawl with Santiago, Barreto, and an unidentified companion at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 last Sunday.
“Tumirik ka ng kandila ngayon. Huwag na huwag magkrus 'yong landas natin. Huwag lang sana tayo magpangabot sa mall. Ipagdasal mo hijo de P.I. ka, na huwag sana tayo magkita sa mall. Ipagdasal mo iyan," Raffy said in the television show.
“Lintik lang ang walang ganti," Erwin said.
“Kapag nagpaabot tayo sa NAIA Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3, tatamaan at tatamaan ka! Wala akong pakialam, pati asawa mo, tatamaan sa akin!" he added.
For individual charges against the brothers, the MTRCB said it will send the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas a recommendation on the matter.
“The board is also endorsing the matter to the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas for appropriate action with respect to the television personalities involved,” MTRCB said.
Any person guilty of violating PD 1986 is liable to three months to one year imprisonment and a fine not less than P50,000.
