Sometimes, I wonder that ABS CBN have relatively good quality programs
by Filipino standards yet those programs were not figuring good ratings
in AGB ratings. As an admirer of ABS CBN's shows but not a blind
fanatic I find it absurd that I may think that there was indeed ratings
manipulation. On second thoughts, I have concluded that ABS had lost
the edge in quality. Yes, in technical aspects of picture quality their
TAPED(non live) shows were good but the content(story, dialogue) were
not that compelling anymore. I don't believe that AGB has gone to the
extent that it has resorted to tamper its data. There may be reports of
compromise(inducements of manipulation by offers of grocery items) of
some home panels but it is idiotic to think that a significant portion
of home panels had been compromised on a sustained daily basis. I
believe a significant portion of ABS CBN's viewers had not been loyal
anymore to watching their shows religiously at their broadcast time.
Most of them are working that catching the shows at the expense of
their livelihood is not that important. Some depend on online recording
such as youtube and some on streaming services which are not reflected
in TV ratings(Household or People ratings). Some(not all) Kapamilyas
that are economically blessed(yes high income) were not watching TV
anymore(you know nakakabobo talaga ang TV, imagine, tutunganga ka lang
dyan nang ilang oras na walang ginagawa araw araw ay katangahan). They
expend their income and time in restaurants and malls and travels. Some
are watching foreign channels. I'm sure detailed breakdown of viewers
available to AGB subscribers(GMA, TV5, advertisers) know this. Kaya
it's best not to be loyal to any local channels. Wag naman tayong
masyadong fanatic para wag tayong maging slave ng mga ganitong
kumpanya. Just watch any show we want that we deemed worth our time.
Better yet, turn off the TV and do something else that would add
knowledge to our brains and be productive (Japanese kids were designing
robots, para naman may pakinabang tayo sa bansa at may pandagdag tayo
sa Gross Domestic Product). Eh ano kung we have been exporting our
dramas abroad(we are too far to be competing with the Korean wave, kahit na nakuha ng ABS CBN ang portion ng Africa, dagdagan n'yo pa ang kalidad ng istorya ng mga shows ninyo).

Sorry nalang mabango po ang breath ko. Di ako Bad breath. Nagsasabi lang naman ako ng totoo, mabaho talaga breath ng mga Korean isama nyo pa dyan Panadero King nyo. Sige nga icompare mo sya kay Chace Crawford, sino mas gwapo. Dali! Di hamak na mas mabango si Chace Crawford at mas gwapo.
