WITH ITS NEW LINE-UP! ABS-CBN AFTERNOON VIEWERSHIP DOWN BY 10% !

ABS-CBN's new afternoon line-up worsened its standing in the National battle as average viewership dropped to nearly 10% from previous week! 

From 12:00 am to 6:00 pm the Kapamilya Network averaged 10.2% HH ratings in the Urban Philippines , relatively 9% lower compared to last week's average of 11.1%. On the other hand GMA-7 gained a relatively 7% increase from 17.5% last week to 18.7% this Tuesday, February 22, 2011. 

HYY decreased ratings

Citing Kantar Media's survey result, Happy Yepee Hehey drove the downfall of kapamilya viewership with its 17% decrease in the number of audience, from 11.4% avereage last week to the 9.4% 2-day average this week. Happy Yehpee Yehey's airtime holds 42% of the total afternoon block of ABS-CBN, with Eat Bulaga also holding similar share in the rival network. Nita Negrita, Koreana and Teptation of Wife drove the increase in GMA's overall afternoon ratings with Koreana nearing its end.Overall GMA-7 garnered 18.7% rating in the afternoon, 8.5% up against ABS-CBN's 10.2%.

GMA-7 showed a slight decrease in Prime time

 On prime time however GMA-7 showed a slight decrease in TV viewership as Dwarfina and Machete loses more viewers to Mara Clara and Mutya. On relative HH ratings, GMA-7 show a 7% 6-day decrease in viewership from 16.3% last Feb. 16 to 15.1% on Feb. 22. In contrast ABS-CBN managed a petty 3% jump in its overall evening average as Mara Clara, Mutya and Imortal improves its leadership against rivals. 

All-day TV Raitngs on a See-saw

For the past 5 weekdays, GMA-7 proves to be very threathenging as it captures the lead in 2 of the 5 days. Last Friday, it scored  14.3% on Kantar's National survey, 0.1% up against ABS-CBN's 14.2%. It repeated on Monday when GMA-7 edged out ABS-CBN by 0.3%, but ABS-CBN immedietly recovered on Tuesday  beating Channel 7 by a mere 0.1%.
