ano ba ang people's ratings?
ako'y naguguluhan sa pinapakitang percentage sa survey.
iyan ba eh nagpapakita ng kabuuang nanood sa mega manila?
halimbawa, kung me manonood ng 100 katao at nag-rate lang siya ng 7%, nangangahulugan bang 7 katao lang ang nanonood ng programa?
ang labis kong pinagtataka eh kung
papaano nakukuha ng agb ang ganoong survey? ni hindi nga sila naglalabas ng error percentage kaya papaano maniniwala na tama nga ang datos na inilalathala nila.
isa pa, partnership nila ang GMA7 sa paggawa ng survey, kaya papaano maniniwala ang taong bayan na kredibol ngang masasabi ang people's ratings na ito?
hindi nga maipaliwanag ng maganda ni mr, duavit ang tungkol sa peoples versus household ratings. but anyway, why bothered? Si pennywise lang naman ang niniwala na panalo ang GMA.
Di ba pennywise? ang worth mo lang ay isang penny? O siguro kapag marami, mas gusto mo? Di ba ang plural ng penny ay "penis"? Sarap di ba?
In my understanding ang people's rating, its counting the percentage of the individuals in a household who watches the specific show. Perhaps, the device looks like its got a button or something wherein you will have to choose if your a kid or an adult or a guy or a girl, something like that. Whereas the household rating counts on the percentage of the houses the device were connected to, doesn't matter what kind of individual is watching the show.
Well this is what I'm talking abwt! PP is juz a transient hype...curious ung tao xe bago...its good actually kung magampanan muh wd flying c0lorz ur gimmicks and stuffs! Pero kng epic fail? Sus! It wl juz smash ur show into a piece of crap! Again, PP maybe triumphant in m0nths pa, i wl gv it to dm though pero un lang ang ultimatum ko xe nga bago, refreshing pa ung show...but then agn, i d0nt thnk so that they can sustain it...ASAP is an instituti0n already! well, its your opinion again, you prefer to watch a show because of the people you will see in it. Ibahin mu ko, cause i watch shows, movies, series base on its content. On how they played there roles well. I don't care if the performer or actor is someone I dont know, as long as you see them playing their parts well. Also, watching the same old stories or performance only branding it with different songs, titles, stars bores me.
I admit, the old SOP and PP really bores me, i dont even watch the show. Pero I find the new and improved PP interesting. It maybe panandali-an, doesn't matter, as long as its still entertaining me. I just hope na pag naging boring na sa mata ko ang show nila, they will find a fresh replacement.
And one more thing, given the hint on the 3D glasses, you should have an idea that its just some oldies 3D effect. Still, its 3D and they're the first to cater it on live TV.
Infairness, I watch shows on other station also. Im just not into drama kaya piling-pili lang pinapanood ko on both channels :D

if that is what you understand the difference between peoples and households ratings, then why the percentages of household are bigger than the people's ratings? Dahil mas maraming tao sa isang household, di ba dapat mas malalaki ang percentages ng people?
On the other hand, huwag na tayong maging technical. Let us just look at the numbers. For a certain time slot - dapat mag-sum up sila ng 100%. Considering ABS and GMA are two giant stations, then why the sum ay almost 10% lang? Does this mean na 90% of the respondents preferred other channels? (Which is definitely doubtful)
Unlike before, yung dalawang stations will sum up to about 60%, which means 40% preferred other channels, mas kapani-paniwala.
hi anonymous? why don't you go and research how to obtain a percentage? I bet you don't know how to compute a percentage...getting a higher percentage doesn't mean mas maraming tao ang sinusurvey...
% = (no. of viewers from this show at a certain timeslot / total no. of viewers at that same timeslot) * 100
Now if household ratings have around 1000 devices distributed and 600 of which are watching show A while 400 are watching show B that would give 60% and 40% for household ratings right?
if peoples ratings released 10000 devices and 5,400 watching show A and 4,600 watching show B. that would ratio to 54% and 46% respectively.
Now who do you think is more accurate? given that no. of devices? I think the one with more devices cause it can be detailed out 0.0001 compared to household which can give an accuracy of 0.001
you do the math yourself if you don't find the logic reliable. but thats how numbers work.

of course i know how to compute percentages. ang tanong ko sayo ay: at a certain time slot say 6% sa GMA, 4% sa ABS, nasan na yung 90%? Nasa ibang channel? Saang channel.

ipinaliwanag mo kung paano kumuha ng percentage, eh napakadali naman non. Isipin mo kung ano ang behind that percentages. Mag analyze ka nga!

Paano kapag 5 katao ang nanood sa isang telebisyon, ibig sabihin 5 counts na kaagad?
Kung ganoon, mas hindi reliable ang sistema. Halimbawa na lang, kapag bumili ka ng sabon, hindi naman isang sabon sa bawat katao. Isang sabon lang sa isang household. Paano kapag ang isang kapamilya family ay 3 members lang, samantala yung kapuso family ay 5 members, e di talo na kaagad ang isa ng 2 points? Ano kaya yun? Di ba ang TV ratings ay real time?

At some point naniwala ako kay whatever na wala xang kinikilingan na network...pero based from the comments na pinopost nya obvious na parang though di nya ina.admit pero kapuso xa talaga...sbi nya daw skn sa karnabal thread ng pp na nanunuod xa daw ng mga show ng b0th networks, tama naman, pero kapuso ka by heart whatever, aminin mu na lang na pinapagtangg0l mu ang kapuso network, la naman masama! Choice mu yan at opini0n ang sa akin lang huwag ng.mag.deny at magpost na kesyo against ka sa network war pero subsc0nsciously ur n a certain side...hey baka u take against naman to skin, m n0t mean to make a war here pero sa aking opini0n ur kapuso...ur n0t being objective and merely a neutral viewer wh0m juz want to watch quality show which appeal to u and entertain...kaka.disapp0int! @anonymous: the other missing portions to complete the 100% should be on tvs wherein a device is connect but is off or watching other channels, im not sure ilang channels na meron jan, im sure naman some people choose to watch other shows, knowing may tv5 na nah medyo intruiging and out of nowhere biglang nag bloom. and 23 and 27 pa. ano sapalagay mu?
@colboi: yeah, obviously im speaking here, mostly stating some positivity on GMA's side, which konti lang like pennywise yata and some anonymous din people ang nagsasabi. And I admit also na back when I was in pinas pa, most of the shows I watch are from 7 kaya I'm being bias at times. But i believe wala akong sinasabi dito na direct trashtalk naman siguro. Most of the comments here im pointing out, im giving extra logic naman din siguro to explain more, and to not sound delirious. Now if you think my analysis on some of my statements were so wrong, wala akong magagawa. Anywayz, I am not in the right position to give opinions din siguro since PP and ASAP lang naman yung mga pinanonood ko via streaming. I dont even know what happened to other shows or kung ano na ang mga shows na yun.
