At the back of the online turmoil sparked by GMA's misuse of technological terminology to describe the latest advancement in Philippine news casting, GMA-7 at last released their official stand about the issue via WWW.GMANEWS.TV. In an article in their online beta GMA-7 indirectly reasoned out that due to the lack of terminology to describe the newly introduced technology they resort in describing the innovation to a familiar term often heared in Sci-Fi movies and novels.
GMA added that in order to clear out confusions regarding the correct terminology to use, news anchors of the said network started calling the camera trick as HOLOGRAM EFFECT instead of solely using the word HOLOGRAM. According to VIRZT, GMA's provider of Visual Effects, the technology is a real time 3D graphics and is one of the latest development in Visual Technology. And because its new and flexible there has been no clear term to describe the software yet, but some techno elites call this procedure as TELEPRESENCE where the software responsible for the visual effects is called Virzt Artist.
GMA concluded that its not the TERMONOLGY that matters but its the outstanding development in News Casting that they pioneered which increased viewers' satisfaction and improved quality of news reporting for which viewers receive the greatest advantage.
