MACHETE'S FINALE SETTLED NO.2 IN MM! TIES WITH MUTYA & MLKI!

Machete's finale zoomed to the no.1 spot on Friday among kapuso programs in Mega Manila as it scored 13.2%! It shared the no.2 spot overall with Kapamilya Programs Mutya and Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin who also scored 13.2%. TV Patrol also emerged victorious over 24 Oras with 10% vs 9.6% as Magic Palayok's lead dropped 4.4%. Mara Clara maintained the lead with an impressive 15.9% beating I Heart U Pare and The Baker King with 10% and 12.2% respectively. In the daytime GMA-7 continues to massacre Kapamilya Programs with Eat Bulaga topping the rankings.

SECRET GARDEN TO AIR ON GMA-7! PANG HAPON BA ?O PRIME TIME?

GMA-7 continues to be the country's leading provider of top rating koreanovelas as it brings one of South Korea's top drama for 2011! Secret Garden stars Ha Ji Won and Hyun Bin who switched their bodies after they drank a certain  magic water. Secret garden leads SBS on its time slot beating rivals from KBS and MBC with an imposing average of 24.4% Nationwide. GMA Network's aggressive marketing booked this korean drama under the kapuso network as it bested ABS-CBN.

However there is no certainty yet if SG will replace TOW in the afternoon or  The Baker King in Prime time as the management's decision has yet to be disclosed. But one thing is certain, Secret Garden will surely capture the Filipino viewers which craves for a perfect blend of comedy, romance and magic!

 

WILL NTC DELAY THE IRR ON DTV THIS APRIL? IS GMA-7 WINNING THE DTV WAR?

THE PLANNED shift to Japanese digital television standard for broadcasting may not push through by April with the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) now mulling whether to take a second look at the upgraded European standard.

This comes after broadcaster GMA Network, Inc. and the House Committee on Information and Communication Technology “encouraged” the state agency to again review which digital TV standard to adopt, NTC Commissioner Gamaliel A. Cordoba said in a text message yesterday.

My Princess, ABS-CBN's newest installment of Korean Drama, is set to air this April on Kapamilya Gold! Fresh from its succcess in Korea, My Princess is a romantic comedy staring Song Seunghun and Kim Taehee as Lee Seolis.It premiered no.1 in its time slot  beating rivals "Sign" from SBS and "President" from KBS. MBC kept the thrown unchallenged in this time slot as My Princess consistently triumphed over Sign which has been on a close combat for a couple of weeks after thier respective premieres.  My Princess would probably battle GMA's Temptation of Wife which has been leading the numbers game for months. “Tuloy-tuloy na nga. Actually malapit na ngang umere ang Captain Barbell, so we’re kind of pressed for time. Pero very exciting, we’ve been working very hard. Kahit medyo may mga delays na konti, pero alam namin na we’re gonna push through, we’re gonna make it, and nakka-excite kasi ang ganda ng kuwento,” he shares.

KRIS AQUINO AND ANNE CURTIS TO DO A TELESERYE THIS 2011!

2011 will be a very busy year for "The Price is Right" host and "Pilipinas Got Talent" judge Kris Aquino.

In an interview with members of the entertainment press on Thursday, March 17, during the press introduction of Kris and son James Jr. as endorsers of the White King Fiesta spaghetti brand, Kris revealed that a planned teleserye with Kapamilya actress Anne Curtis is currently in the works.

ABS-CBN HAKOT AWARDS SA 9TH GAWAD TANGLAW!

ABS-CBN programs and stars bagged numerous awards on Thursday at the 9th Gawad Tanglaw award ceremonies held at St. Dominic College of Asia in Bacoor, Cavite.

ABS-CBN was again named Best Station of the Year. It also won the Best Development Communications Campaign of the Year for "Boto Mo I-Patrol Mo, Panahon ng Pagbabago" and "Best Election News Coverage."

The Best News Program award was given to "TV Patrol" while the Best TV Anchors awards went to Bernadette Sembrano and Alex Santos for "TV Patrol Weekend".
