SHARON CUNETA TO SIGN A P1 BILLION CONTRACT DEAL WITH TV5!!

Nobody from TV5  and Kapamilya Network would confirm nor deny  the report, but according to Ricky Lo’s column,  Megastar, Ms. Sharon Cuneta, will seal a whooping P1 billion contract with the Kapatid Network!!!

This deal will include a daily talk show and so far, it’s the biggest deal yet for a local artist.   It was Boss Vic del Rosario, who negotiated with TV5.  A blind item also indicated that that Megastar will sing the Station ID  theme song of TV5.

Rumor has it that early this year, Piolo Pascual was asking for the same amount when offered by TV5. But somebody close to TV5 says, “he is not worth it.”  Piolo Pascual has denied the rumor.

ABS-CBN, GMA 7 and newcomer TV5 may be in a deathly race against one another for ratings, but on Friday their chief executive officers (CEOs)—Eugenio Lopez III, Felipe L. Gozon and Manuel V. Pangilinan, respectively—for the first time stood side by side in one stage to share their thoughts on the future of television and media.

The three media giants not only shared similar beliefs on the need to keep up with changing technology but also in their confidence about the future of the broadcast industry even if there are now three major players competing for advertising revenue.

Local TV networks have already undertaken test broadcasts of digital broadcast using ISDB-T, namely ABS-CBN, Net 25, RPN, IBC 13, Channel 4 and SBN.

But GMA Network Inc., a KBP non-member, preferred Europe’s Digital Video Broadcasting-Terrestrial 2 (DVB-T2).

Despite the broadcast firms’ different views, the country’s top 3 broadcast stations (GMA, ABS-CBN and TV5) have been investing for the digitalization of their network.

ABS-CBN has estimated to spend P3 billion for migration to Digital TV, P500 million of which have already been spent for the transmitter, acquisitions and film rights, according to Rolando Valdueza, the company’s chief finance officer.

Sa report ng late-night news program ng ABS-CBN, ang Bandila, kagabi, November 17, na-recover ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang huling text messages sa cell phone ni Ramgen bago siya napatay.
