OGIE ALCASID and Michael V’s two week-old Sunday show in GMA is the result of the latter’s idea which he presented to the management. Kakaibang Bitoy ang napapanood dito, a far cry from his wide gamut of funny characters in Bubble Gang.
Kaso, mukhang hindi ito kinakagat ng mga manonood. Michael V, to be blunt about it, is not a host. To address his “inadequacy”, mas dadalasan na lang daw sa show ang mga segments ni Bitoy where he gets to play various characters. Still, he gets to host.
Pero dinig namin, kapag hindi pa raw nagklik ang show with Bitoy still doing hosting based on his original concept, expect a total overhaul.
Napanood namin ang una’t ikalawang sultada ng programang ‘yon, it’s Ogie who shines far brighter than his real-life kumpare in the hosting department. Tanggapin na lang ni Bitoy ang katotohanang there are limitations to one’s talent. He’s a fine comedy actor, period. As a host, lacking quickness on the uptake ay huwag na niyang piliting ilako pa ang kanyang sarili to non-buyers of his hosting commodity.
