JAMES Yap said in a statement that he deserves what he got from the annulment of marriage with former wife, Kris Aquino.
“I never demanded anything when we (he and Kris) talked about it,” he said in a statement. “Whatever I got was what Kris agreed to.”
The basketball superstar admitted though that there were times he got insecure about his wife’s earnings. “Ang laki-laki na rin ng kinikita ko pero kung ikukumpara sa kanya (Kris), parang piso lang.”

In 2010, Kris’s earnings totaled to more than P100 million, making her pay about P32 million in taxes.
James admitted that he couldn’t match that, but in his own way, he was also a big earner.
Meanwhile, Kris is still loveless at the moment, and some press people who are trying to link her to some personalities have failed in the end. For James, he’s rumored to be dating an actress, but he (and the actress) have denied it repeatedly saying they’re just friends.
