Data from the study also revealed that Visayas region has the largest chunk of class E at 29% while Mindanao has the largest chunk of class D at 60%. Visayas also has the lowest TV ownership at 78% whereas Cable penetration is a bit lower at 21%. On the other hand Mindanao has the most number of big families, the survey states. It adds that Mindanao has the lowest cable penetration at 8%.
This study strenthens the claim that the Mega Manila Agglomeration is the key area for advertising and hence should be the primary concern of TV viewership survey, AGB Nielsen.
