On Monday night, January 27, two new teleseryes made their debut on the primetime block of rival TV stations.
Although they are not on the same timeslot, a lot of viewers are looking forward to these shows since they mark the return of Angel Locsin and Marian Rivera in the drama genre.
MEGA MANILA RATINGS. Based on ratings data recorded in Mega Manila by AGB Nielsen, Carmela registered 18.1 percent, which is lower compared to Got To Believe, its counterpart on ABS-CBN. The Daniel Padilla-Kathryn Bernardo teleserye maintained its stronghold in the primetime block with its 28 percent rating.
The Legal Wife was pitted against GMA-7's Rhodora X, another primetime teleserye that aired its pilot episode last night, January 27.
Jennylyn Mercado portrays a woman with dissociative identity disorder, also known as split personality disorder, in Rhodora X. She is paired with ex-boyfriend Mark Herras in this teleserye.
According to AGB Nielsen data, The Legal Wife registered 23.9 percent on its pilot episode while Rhodora X was able to register 15.8 percent.
NATIONWIDE RATINGS. The Kathniel-starrer Got To Believe also ruled national TV ratings across urban and rural homes with its rating of 29.8 percent.
Its rival show, Carmela Ang Pinakamagandang Babae Sa Mundong Ibabaw, registered 14.4 percent, based on Kantar Media data.
The Legal Wife garnered ratings of 21 percent versus Rhodora X that registered 11 percent.
