ABS-CBNMOBILE OFFERS DATA PLAN THAT ENABLES USERS TO WATCH PAST EPISODES OF KAPAMILYA SHOWS!

MANILA, Philippines – Episodes of shows on ABS-CBN networks can now be viewed using the recently launched ABS-CBNmobile.

Aside from sending SMS, making calls, and browsing the internet, users of ABS-CBN mobile can also watch past episodes of their favorite shows through local video-on-demand and livestreaming website iWanTV.

“Our primary service is video-on-demand, meaning people can catch up on the shows that they missed on ABS-CBN and ANC, and that will all be powered by data plans,” Nandy Villar, head of ABS-CBN Customer Relationship Management, told ANC’s “Future Perfect”.

Villar said apart from the roster of shows on iWanTV, there will be “exclusive content” in shortened form for mobile users.

“As a media and content company, we felt that it’s already time for us to be present in mobile phones and to allow our customers and viewers to enjoy the shows on their mobile phones,” said Villar.

ABS-CBN has rolled out several pre-paid promo plans for its mobile service to allow users to text, chat, browse, and watch episodes.

Among the plans is the Kapamilya On-line (KOL20 and KOL15), which allows internet browsing and streaming episodes via iWanTV valid for 1 day.

The KOL20 provides 45MB of data, which Villar said can be consumed to watch one episode and social media browsing. KOL15, on the other hand, provides 30MB of data usage.

The Kapamilya Text All Net (KTAN15) provides 15 texts to all networks, 1-hour iWanTV access via Wi-Fi valid for two days.

The Kapamilya Unli-Chat (KUC15) allows unlimited use of Viber, unlimited texts to other ABS-CBN mobile users and 1-hour iWanTV access via Wi-Fi valid for 1 day.

The services can be availed by sending the code 2135.

The ABS-CBNmobile was launched on November 16 during the height of relief operations for victims of typhoon “Yolanda.” A total of 100,000 mobile SIMs were donated by ABS-CBN to help those affected contact their relatives.

In all honesty, this idea is kinda on the fence with me. Wala naman sigurong tao na atat manood ng teleserye when you can do it home or online. I wouldn't waste my data when I can perfectly watch something without costing me a dime.
