Ipagpatuloy ni Kris Aquino ang kanyang kasalukuyang mga programa sa ABS-CBN, kahit na inanunsiyo nito ang kanyang pagre-resign.

Ginawa ni Kris ang announcement ng pag-resign sa kanyang mga trabaho sa panayam sa kanya ni Ted Failon sa TV Patrol noong Huwebes, March 21.

Ito ay para raw mag-concentrate siya sa pag-aalaga sa dalawa niyang anak at upang mailayo sila sa mga kontorbersiya.

ABS-CBN WELCOMES REVIVAL OF PTV-4, GMA-7 TO FILE A CASE TO OPPOSE!

MANILA, Philippines – The country's two biggest privately-owned media groups have different reactions to the recently signed law “revitalizing” the operations of state-owned and -operated television station People’s Television Network, Inc. or PTV-4.

GMA Network, Inc. is considering filing a case to stop Republic Act No. 103901 -- which infuses P5 billion fresh capital that allows PTV-4 to engage in more diverse programming -- from being implemented.

MANILA, Philippines – After its failed deal with the business group led by Manuel V. Pangilinan, GMA Network, Inc, the country's second biggest media group, is still looking to partner up with a local telecommunications company as part of its convergence plans.

Gilberto Duavit, president and COO of GMA said they are open to discussions and are “reviewing possible partnership fits which will result in prospective discussions with telcos pertaining to the availability of GMA-7 content on smart devices.”

DESPITE LEADING THE NUTAM RATINGS IN 2012, GMA'S NET INCOME DROPPED BY 5%!

Listed GMA Network Inc.'s net income after tax declined by 5% to settle P1.617 billion against a year-earlier. This was despite the fact that the broadcasting firm claimed leadership in NUTAM ratings, first time in its history. Rival ABS-CBN Corp. posted a 23% increase in recurring net income to P1.708 billion making it the largest and most profitable broadcasting firm in the country.

 GMA Network Inc's consolidated gross revenues grew 6 percent year-on-year to P13.929 billion in 2012, the broadcast giant reported Friday.

GMA TO DECLARE P1.215 BILLION WORTH OF DIVIDENDS!

The Board of Directors of leading broadcast company GMA Network has approved cash dividends amounting to P1.215 billion at P0.25 centavos per share, during a meeting held at the GMA Network headquarters in Quezon City on March 21.

The record date for the cash dividend is on April 17, while the payment date is on May 14, 2013.

MANILA-- ABS-CBN Corp. expects to rake in higher profits in the first quarter versus the same period last year, banking on an increase in regular or non-political ads amid a buoyant Philippine economy.

"The first three months will be significantly better than last year," Rolando Valdueza, chief financial officer at ABS-CBN, said in a briefing on Thursday.

ABS-CBN'S 2012 REVENUES UP BY 13% TO P31.7 BILLION!

MANILA, Philippines – The consolidated net income of ABS-CBN Corp., the country’s biggest media conglomerate, fell 29% in 2012 to P1.708 billion from P2.42 billion in 2011.

In a media briefing on Thursday, March 21, the Lopez-owned company said the decline was due to the absence of a one-time gain. In 2011, ABS-CBN earned additional proceeds from the sale of its stake in cable unit Skycable.
