Kantar Media Phils with its recently launched expanded TV Ratings measurement claims to offer more reliable and wider coverage of TV viewing in the country. Kantar promises to represent 100% of Philippine TV viewing with its 2,609 panel homes. This is 32% more than ABG Nielsen's 1,980 panel homes which only covers 57% of Philippine TV viewing. "Kantar Media launched its expanded TV ratings measurement to include rural homes in June 2012.

"ABS-CBN shifted to Kantar Media/TNS after filing a case vs. AGB Nielsen Media Research for failing to comply with its request to investigate alleged cheating and data tampering in TV ratings. The case is still pending in court contrary to claims by GMA, which is not a party to the case, that it has been resolved."
