MANILA, Philippines – Hunk actor Richard Gomez is full of enthusiasm having been afforded the chance to work again with then-sweetheart Dawn Zulueta.
“Kinuwento nga ni Lucy, eh,” Gomez shared on “TV Patrol” Oct. 25.
“Alam mo kami ni Dawn masuwerte kami kasi ‘yung mga asawa namin are very understanding of the work that we do,” the actor added.
Zulueta feels the same way about their better halves.
“Supportive and actually, they appreciate naman the success of our tandem,” she quipped.
Gomez intimated that his wife Lucy is a big fan of the Richard and Dawn tandem.
“Si Lucy watched 'Hihintayin Kita sa Langit' more than 20 times. When she heard about it, she texted Dawn right away. Mas nauna pang na-text si Dawn kaysa sa akin," he said in an interview posted on abscbnnews.com on Oct. 25.
Needless to say, the actor looks forward to working on the TV project.
“It's really nice kasi I haven't seen Dawn in a really long time. Hindi pa namin napag-usapan ang proyektong gagawin, sa [story conference pa lang kami] magkukuwentuhan," the actor said on abs-cbnnews.com.
He added that “maganda 'yung project and I think that is very important para kapag nakita ulit tayo sa ABS-CBN ay maganda ang maiaalay natin sa tao."
“Walang Hanggan” is the TV version of the Dawn-Richard 1991 starrer “Hihintayin Kita Sa Langit” directed by Carlitos Siguion Reyna.
Gomez is back in the Kapamilya fold after a long time. He even joked about his return to the network. “The prodigal son is back,” he said with a hearty laugh.
Gomez was with the long-running sitcom “Palibhasa Lalaki” on ABS-CBN, which co-starred Joey Marquez, Gloria Romero, John Estrada, Amy Perez.
He explains why he left the network years ago.
“Alam mo naman matigas ang ulo ko dati. Siguro that is the reason kung bakit ako umalis sa ABS-CBN dati. But now I’m here, yeah” he said.
