The nearing debut of Willie's TV come back in TV5 via Willing Willie, fears Kapamilya Executives as it would prompt a drastic decline in their channel's audience share. Willie, which hosted the highest rating noontime program on National Television (Wowowee), has already established a solid fan base in the Philippines and abroad. Being a Kapamilya Royalty his followers clearly constitute a significant percent in ABS-CBN's loyal viewers, hence the onset of Willie's new show on TV5 will eventually divide Kapamilya viewers on prime time and will drastically affect the numbers game.
Completely aware of the possible effect to their fan base, ABS-CBN Corporation exhausts all their legal resources to halt the airing of Willie's Program. Just recently the company requested the Court to speed up the decision on the TRO issue, preventing the former Kapamiya host from further violating the contract through the airing of Willing Willie, but the Justice department has yet to release a statement as of press time.Given that the court's decision favors Revillame, the Network is rumored to re-align its programs putting TV Patrol on the 6pm time slot and putting a Kris Aquino show on the 7pm block to counter Willie's primetime comeback.
Meanwhile, Media Giant GMA Network has been enjoying the rift of its rival taking the issue as an advantage to their channel.
