The entrance of Robin Padilla in ABS-CBN's noontime program and the premiers of Rosalka and Impostor triggered the defeat of GMA-7 in the much contested Mega Manila Area!!! From May 17 to May 20, data from AGB Nielsen Revealed ABS-CBN posting a 1.9% lead in TV Ratings against GMA-7 from 11am to 10:30 in the evening. Channel 2 earned 17.69% ratings for the week up against GMA-7 with 15.79%. Kapamilya Programs lead the battle on both daytime and primetime averaging 13.8% and 23.75% respectively, up against GMA-7 with only 11.78% and 22.03%.
The Kapamilya Network lorded the entire weekdays from Monday 'til Thursday with the following margins +1.38% (Monday), +1.17%(Tuesday), +1.14%(Wednesday) and a whooping +2.49% (Thursday), giving it an average of +1.9% advantage against GMA-7. The lift in ABS's numbers is mainly caused by the healthy scores of Wowowee, Rosalka and Impostor, plus the better ratings TV Patrol is getting against 24 Oras. Nonetheless I'm quite sure GMA-7 would not let this trend last long! so we better watch it out!!!
For the meantime here are the figures for this week.
REMARKS: Figures are based from data released by AGB Nielsen for Mega Manila Area. Daytime is computed from 11am to 6pm and Primetime from 6pm to 10:30pm where almost 95% of the advertising revenues are sourced.
