IS ROUNIN THE FIRST EPIC SERIES AND NOT AMAYA?

According to an Ilo-ilo based commentator, GMA-7's epic series, "AMAYA" is not the the very first tv series of its kind but ABS-CBN's 2007 most expensive TV program, ROUNIN! Tim Libunao argued that GMA should refrain from marketing AMAYA as the first ever Epec Series because it is a false truth. He further explained the following published on Facebook:


"ABS-CBN's ROUNIN is the first EPIC (TELE-EPIKO) produced in the history of Philippine television and not GMA7's Amaya. It is also the first ANIME'-SERYE on Philippine TV. In fact, Rounin's PR tag is "Ang tele-epikong magdadala sa iyo sa hangganan ng imahinasyon".

Rounin is a 2007 Filipino ...primetime TV series produced and aired by ABS-C...BN, dubbed as tele-epiko or TV epic. It is a fantasy and martial arts series shown in Philippine TV and is said to be one of the most expensive locally-produced TV series aired in the Philippines. It is also the first Filipino series shot using high-definition video technology. The series is line produced by Reality Films while Larger Than Life Productions is handling post, visual effects, VFX supervision, mastering and grading. The series is shot using Panasonic’s HDP2 technology."

With this disclosure what could have GMA Network do about this? Last year, GMA's News and Public affairs were also bombarded by critism with thier Hologram issue that were strongly protested by the tech experts.

    Hahahahahaha, this EPIC FAIL! Hahahaha! I remember Luis Manzano saying "Ito ang programang magpapababago sa takbo ng primetime."

    And it did! Despite the millions spent on the show, Rounin did not do very well in the ratings game, it moved from one time slot to another until it was axed after one season!

    It also became one of the lowest-rated primetime shows in Philippine TV history according to AGB MegaManila with a mediocre 8.2%

    Hahahahahahaha! Dito tlga sumikat ang word na "FLOP!" Sympre by ABS-CBN lang yan! Hahahahaha!

    For me ROUNIN is the FIRST EPIC SERYE in the Philippines actually its was called as TELE-EPIKO and was also considered as FIRST ANIME-SERYE.

    Dapat daw hindi bababa sa 40% ang ratings ng AMAYA dahil para hindi ito malugi...pero sa paparating na bagyo sa premiere nito, ano kaya ang mangyayari???...hulaan nyo...lol

    gosh... Ang issue eh hndi ang Amaya ang first epic serye... It's been 4 years pinagttalunan nyo pa din ang flop??? flop or not Mali ang claim ng Amaya ,... Kung flop Lang paguusapan yun ay ang gaganap na umaya hahahah..

    yap as kapamilya agree tlga ako natalo sa rating yang rounin...ang ganda sana kaso natalo..PERO malay natin kung di noktor lang ng AGB ang result ng rating nun?! Panu mo papaniwalaan na talgang nga mababa rating niyanwalang ibang nagswasalita na tungkol sa rating AGB lang..ie nun mga panahaon na yun tlamak na ang ginagawang manipulasyon sa tv rating?! kaya utot wag kang umepal kahit ano sabihin niyo manadaraya ang GMEww at AGB...partner pa nga sila..partners in crime?>!

    Kapamilya ako, at oo aaminin ko FLOP ang Rounin. Pero how long back has that been? Ilang taon na nga ba ang nakakaraan?

    Now admit it, Captain Barbell is not soaring as high as they expected it to. What do you call that then?

    Besides, hindi naman ratings ang usapan. Ang tanong e kung una nga ba ang Rounin as epic serye sa Pinas at hindi Amaya. The answer is YES.

    They used the word EPIC kasi meron itong touch ng Filipino culture at history. Unlike Rounin, tinawag nyopang ANIME eh japanese yun.

    rounin wasn't flop when it started. mostly kids kasi ang audience nito (like fantaseryes encantadia and darna) pero minove parin sa 10.30pm slot. kaya nagflop. actually maganda naman din to eh.


    "well good start sa rounin.. ganda ng pilot episode...

    at ganda ng start... dagsa ng mga advetisers..

    ROUNIN "PILOT EPISODE"

    40 mins. na walang commercial break

    tapos nun

    1st gap - 12 commercials + 1 abscbn show promo
    2nd gap - 12 commercials + 2 abscbn shows promo
    3rd gap - 10 commercials + 1 abscbn promo
    4th gap - 10 commercials+ smm promo



    1 hour ang tinakbo ng pilot episode...

    a total of 44 commercials ang meron ang rounin.."


    sabi yan sa PEx.

    rounin was supposed to ba successful kaya lang minove kasi sa later slot.

    Ang Amaya, may topless topless, di pangbata. i doubt na aabot sa 40% ang ratings nito. kids are more into tv. and also mga lola. which only like heavy drama. adults are more into work, and teens are more into radio, novels, and other things.

    it was a real epic dahil pinagsama sama dito ang Muay Thai, Wu Shu, at iba pang martial arts. isama mo pa ang powers nila, plus some great special effects, now tell me, isn't that epic??

    and mind you, its the first tv epic, AND ANIME-SERYE. do some research, dude.

    AMAYA shouldn't be epic serye. it should be the FIRST HISTORICAL DRAMA. binaboy lang ng GMA ang history natin. haluan ba ng powers? Amaya's life story is good as it is.

    I believe it will be clear if Amaya will instead be called the first historical epic series.

    Frankly, I am excited to watch this new show as everything looks authentic and impressive. The battle scenes look epic, and the previews say they even hired historians to ensure everything is accurate including the outfits, weapons, way of life and the way they speak. It will also benefit the Filipino people to see and for most discover for the first time their real heritage before the damn foreign invaders almost wiped out our culture.

    AMAYA ang pinaka EPIC FAIL na serye sa balat ng telebisyon.....
    Sa AGB lang kayo nagrerate, sa mega manila lang, paano AGB hawak ng KANGUSO, hahah....

    Ang KANTAR Nationwide, hindi lang mega manila my television sa bahay, kaya dapat KANTAR ang mmas pinaniniwalaan, nationwide na, accurate pa.

    hahaha...kung ako sa kanila, balik na lang nila ung mga sentai shows(maskman, bioman...) sa primetime! ewan ko lang kung nd cla makahatak ng ratings

    As for kapuso, ibalik na lang nila ang "We Are Anime" era. Where these shows dominated the primetime and became the show for all ages...hehehehe...REI GUN!!!!
